A vacancy has arisen for a Parish lengthsman as detailed below
Job Title: Parish Lengthsman
Location: Sabden + 8 parishes surrounding Pendle Hill
Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Parish Lengthsman. The Parish Lengthsman will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance and upkeep tasks within the parishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and repair projects
- Clearing litter and debris from public areas.
- Assisting with grass strimming/vegetation clearance, hedge trimming as needed, and weedspraying
- Environmental projects, planting, Public Rights of Way works
Requirements:
- Some previous experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- Must have own transport to travel between parishes and different locations within the parishes
- Must have own tools for carrying out maintenance tasks effectively.
- Public liability insurance is essential.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining the parish appearance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and independently.
