New Flood Warning Service

8th of February, 2022

A  new flood warning service will be launched on 23rd February by the Environment Agency for Sabden Brook and Badger Well Water.

This new service is part of the Flood Warning Expansion Project, in which they are expanding the existing flood warning service to a number of new communities across Lancashire in 2021 and 2022 and includes Sabden.

Customers whose property is at risk of flooding will be able to register to receive free flood warnings from the Environment Agency, which will provide advance notification of potential flooding and enable proactive action to be taken ahead of flooding occurring.  A  ‘flood service fact sheet’  provides an introduction to the flood warning service, as well as information on how to register for the service, associated advice and links to other useful resources. The environment Agency  will be sending a mailing of this fact sheet (with the populated fields specific to Sabden) to all properties within the new flood warning area, following the successful launch of the service.
