Sabden Parish Council wins bid for Grant Aid by the Pendle Hill Fund

The project entitled Calico and Clogs is to develop and design a historic trail through the village using a mixture of information/interpretation boards and directional signs at key points of importance. The trail will inform visitors and village residents about local historical points of interest and will provide information on buildings, sites and events that are no longer visible.

Research will now begin in earnest and the project working group will be working with local historians, residents and schools to gather information together before it is professionally produced to create the trail in the final phase of the project.

This project received funding from the Pendle Hill Landscape Partnership's Pendle Hill Fund, a community grants scheme which aims to support small scale landscape and heritage activity developed in the PHLP area. The Pendle Hill Fund and wider Pendle Hill Landscape Partnership is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund
